I'm working with Piwigo since 2015 and I like it. For me the one thing that is a pain is the spam we receive through comments. We want guests to be able to participate and leave comments. The few responsive and modern templates that are available do not work with the anti-spam extensions.
With Bootstrap Darkroom being promoted by Piwigo I thought it would work with those anti-spam extensions. But it did not.
Therefore I'd like to request a new feature that I think is simple to implement but very effective against spam. If it would be possible to optionally add a security question to comment forms, the number of spam posts will drop drastically. The question and the answer should be configurable, so admins could change them whenever they want over time. It is probably best to be able to set multiple answers and/or optionally make use of lowercase validation.
Example:
What is the color of grass?
"Green" / "green" / "GrEEn" / "GREEN" are all valid.
Another benefit would be that no plugins/extensions are required to prevent spam, unless the security question does not fit ones needs.
Kind regards
