Missing DM view screen - need to add that or a DM tab in the channel screen so users can actually read received DMs — this is the core missing feature.
1. Application-level dedup for incoming DMs — check (sender_pubkey, timestamp, text_hash) and suppress duplicates within a window, to avoid the retry spam.
2. BLE sync mark-read for contact messages (applies to both DMs and roomserver messages.)
3. Room login mark-read for on-device unread message notifications.
4. Unread indicator on contacts screen (the envelope/asterisk next to node name)
5. T5S3 DM access — either a new tile, or long-press on a contact with unread messages opens a read view before compose.

Will be out with Meck v1.3.
