After a while, the T-Deck Max goes into hibernation, and I cannot wake it up using any of the keys, exept for a reset.

Do you mean the lock screen where you see the clock? If you double click the top button on the right-hand side (top-half of the reset button) it will unlock the screen.
If you mean it says hibernating.. after a while, it's normal for that to be reset button only. If it is doing that without you touching it, or without being in a pocket or bag while the screen is unlocked, let me know so we can potentially investigate further.

I need to update the readme, but the lock screen functionality is also present on the T-Deck Max: https://github.com/pelgraine/Meck/blob/main/README.md#lock-screen-t-deck-pro

No, it won't be activated. Normally you have to long press the touch screen or press the enter key while on the last page of the home screens (power icon) to activate hibernation mode, but some devices can be more sensitive to touch than others and will turn hibernating mode on if in a pocket or bag while unlocked, so the lock screen is recommended when you're not actively touching the device.
If you're finding the screen has ghost touches and will swap screens and do things itself while unlocked and lying just on the desk, for example, that's a potentially different issue.
