Keyboard LED brightness (T-Deck Pro MAX):
Adds a "Keyboard LED" row to Settings (MAX only), below Backlight
Brightness and mirroring it: 5-100% in 5% steps, default 50%. The
both-shifts keyboard backlight toggle previously used a hardcoded PWM
level of 8 (~3%), too dim for some users; it now reads the stored
percentage and maps it to PWM, taking effect on the next toggle.
- NodePrefs.h: new kb_backlight_pct field (5..100, default 50)
- Settingsscreen.h: ROW_KB_BACKLIGHT row plus label/edit handling
- DataStore.cpp: load/save/clamp, appended so existing prefs files stay
compatible (fall back to 50%)
- main.cpp: toggle uses kb_backlight_pct (percent -> PWM) instead of 8
Standalone unread counter fix:
On standalone builds the home-page MSG count and channel-picker unread
badges never updated, although messages arrived and displayed normally.
ArduinoSerialInterface::isConnected() is hardcoded to return true (a plain
UART has no connection state), so the periodic
setHasConnection(_serial->isConnected()) in MyMesh left hasConnection()
permanently true -- making UITask mark every received message read on
arrival. The same stuck flag also suppressed the DM counter and the
new-message screen wake. Guard the call so only builds with a real
companion (BLE / WiFi / wired SERIAL_RX) derive connection state from the
interface; companion-less builds report not-connected. The core
ArduinoSerialInterface is unchanged, preserving wired-companion behaviour.
- MyMesh.cpp: guard setHasConnection() for companion-less builds
RX packet counter: shows total received packets (flood + direct) on the
radio details page; RAM-only, resets on boot and on any SF/freq/BW change.
Rx Log: app-style packet sniffer opened from Settings > "Rx Log >>".
Captures the last 100 received packets pre-filter via Dispatcher::logRx
into a PSRAM ring, with decoded "sender: message" lines matched by packet
hash for decryptable channels. Each entry shows route/type, time, size,
hash, path, channel or From/To, SNR. W/S scroll, Q back to Settings;
T5S3 swipe-scroll rides the same path.
Files: MyMesh.h/.cpp, RxLogScreen.h (new), UITask.h/.cpp,
SettingsScreen.h, main.cpp.
Summary of what changed in each file, all confined to the change points shown in the diffs:
ChannelScreen.h — ChannelMessage gains a session-only scope_idx (initialised to 0xFF in the constructor and explicitly reset to 0xFF on SD load, since region is not persisted); addMessage gains a trailing defaulted scope_idx and stores it. The message-list line now renders (Xh)(Xb) Xm, with the byte figure taken from path_len's upper bits for floods and from the_mesh.getNodePrefs()->path_hash_mode + 1 for the 0xFF/0 sentinels. The path overlay shows Route: ... (N-byte) and a new Region: line (name, or (reg unknown), or nothing when unscoped).
MyMesh.h / .cpp — a fixed 28-entry SCOPE_NAMES table, a _scope_keys array precomputed once at the end of begin() via initScopeKeys(), resolveScopeIndex() (matches pkt->transport_codes[0] against the candidates; 0xFF unscoped, 0xFE unmatched), and the public getScopeName() accessor. onChannelMessageRecv resolves the index and passes it to newMsg.
AbstractUITask.h / UITask.h / UITask.cpp — newMsg gains a trailing uint8_t scope_idx = 0xFF; only the channel addMessage call forwards it. DMs and sent echoes keep the default, so they stay unscoped.
MsgFileRecord and the SD save/load format are untouched, so there's no version bump.
Contact list display bug fix for all devices: MyMesh.h — added onAdvertRecv override declaration (line 214), alongside the other contact-related overrides.
MyMesh.cpp — added the implementation (lines 374-387). It calls BaseChatMesh::onAdvertRecv() first to let all normal processing happen (auto-add, replay guard, path caching, etc.), then unconditionally looks up the contact by pubkey and bumps lastmod to local RTC time. This way, even when the base class's replay guard early-returns (because timestamp <= last_advert_timestamp), the contact still bubbles up in the recency-sorted contacts list since we're actively hearing it.
TDPro - Update firmware build date
Contactsscreen.h — five changes:
- EPOCH_2026 = 1735689600UL constant added (Jan 1 2026 UTC), used in sort
and formatAge.
- typeChar replaced by typeStr returning const char*, with "RS" for room
servers (previously "S", easily confused with sensors). prefix buffer
bumped to [5], all three snprintf calls updated to %s.
- Hop display: out_path_len == 0xFF branch now performs a live lookup
against the 12 most recently heard advert paths (via
getRecentlyHeard). Matches on first 7 bytes of pub_key, extracts hop
count with a bph-aware sanity cap (64/bph max) to reject impossible
values. Shows "~D" for direct flood neighbours, "~N" for N-hop flood
path, "?" if not in the recent-heard cache. Resets to "?" on reboot
until each contact re-advertises — intentional, ensures hop count is
always fresh.
- Sort: _filteredTs now stores contact.lastmod (our local receive time)
instead of contact.last_advert_timestamp (sender's claimed time).
lastmod values below EPOCH_2026 are stored as 0 so stale repeaters
with unsynced clocks and contacts received before our own timesync
sink to the bottom of the list.
- formatAge rewritten: rejects timestamp == 0, timestamp < EPOCH_2026,
and now < timestamp (all show "--" instead of wrapping or displaying
garbage). Arithmetic changed from int to uint32_t, eliminating the
signed overflow path that produced negative hour values. Age display
call site switched from last_advert_timestamp to lastmod, so display
self-corrects after a GPS or 4G timesync.
SerialBLEInterface.cpp — added esp_bt.h include and three esp_ble_tx_power_set calls at +9 dBm after BLEDevice::init(), covering default, advertising, and scan power types.
MyMesh.h — FIRMWARE_VER_CODE bumped from 10 → 11.
MyMesh.cpp — The RESP_CODE_DEVICE_INFO frame construction now:
Byte 2: sends 0xFF (sentinel) when MAX_CONTACTS > 510, otherwise the normal MAX_CONTACTS / 2. Older apps interpret 0xFF as 510 contacts — completely harmless.
Bytes 80-81 (new, appended after the version string): uint16_t little-endian with the true MAX_CONTACTS value. Apps that understand v11+ read it here. Apps < v11 ignore trailing bytes — the BLE/serial frame protocol is length-delimited, so extra bytes at the tail are safe.
platformio.ini — Both BLE builds (meck_audio_ble, meck_4g_ble) bumped from 510 → 2000.
mymesh.cpp: writeContactRespFrame return type change (return _serial->writeFrame() result)
checkSerialInterface() batch-fill loop.
