Is it possible to make better implementation of the touchscreen of the Lilygo T-Deck plus? The hardware trackball is not a good piece of hardware and ruins the operator experience. Sadly, I am not a code-writer or I would have offered some time to look at this. It would certainly help to bring more people to the world of LoRa APRS.
Thank you for your time

A suggestion: while the trackball sucks, there is a nice T-Deck interface in beta (or alpha?) by F4MLV Fabrice at https://github.com/moricef/LoRa_APRS_Tracker
It doesn't solve the hardware issue of the trackball, but it has an overall updated interface that I think helps, providing more detailed information on RSSI and SNR, an improved messaging interface, etc.
It is built on top of Ricardo's radio handling firmware.

Navigation could be implemented with some keyboard keys or as you say with the touch screen
